White Reindeer Award 2020 cancelled

Due to the unusual circumstances regarding the coronavirus the White Reindeer Award for 2020 has been cancelled and nominees for the price will be kept for the White Reindeer Award 2021.

As a big part of the price for the winner is to be the center of attention during the award gala dinner we have decided to cancel the price this year says the founder of the White Reindeer Award, Fredrik Malmberg.
The White Reindeer Award was supposed to be given to the winner during Arctic Game Week 2020 May 20-23rd which also was cancelled due to Covid-19.


About the White Reindeer Award
The White Reindeer Award is a annual award given to a person in Sweden, Norway or Finland who has “made significant efforts to build bridges between fictional worlds and the creative industry”. In addition to the honor, the winner also receives a prize sum of SEK 30,000 during a the White Reindeer Award gala dinner in Skellefteå, Sweden

The Jury
The Jury consists of representatives from the creative industry in Sweden, Norway and Finland. These are:
- Fredrik Malmberg, owner of Cabinet Entertainment and pioneer of the Swedish game industry.
- Fredrik Wester, Chairman of Paradox Interactive, Sweden.
- Susana Meza Graham, Chairwoman of Aldeon Invest, Sweden
- Karoliina Korppoo, CEO, Visual Novel Entertainment, Finland.
- Vesa Raudasoja, Chair Emeritus, International Game Developers Association, Finland.
- Erling Ellingsen, Chief Marketing Officer at Funcom, Norway.
- Henriette Myrlund, CEO at Tellicherry Games, Norway.
